  • Welcome to 'Northman Games'

Here, I present a very slightly revised version of the very first in my AVENTYR series of board games.

'AVENTYR - The Mountain Bike Edition'

    What is it about?

You are a keen mountain biker and have entered a mountain bike orienteering event. Dotted around the hills are checkpoints with varying points values. You have 5 hours (represented by 40 turns) in which to plan your route, ride your bike through the hills, collect as many points as possible then return to the start/finish area. Once everyone has finished, the person with the most points wins.

However, there are many obstacles out there that might just mean you have to keep re-thinking your way around...

This is a game for 2-6 players normally, but more can play if you can all fit around the table.

One person may play it by themselves. Record the score and compare it to previous games.

A 40 turn game takes about 15-20 minutes per person. Restrict it to 30 turns for an even quicker game.

A good family game, it being suitable for kids of 8 years+, and adults.

The price you pay buys you the box containing the game board, the gameplay cards, 6 x counters, 2 x D6 dice, 1 x D4 dice and 1 x D20 dice.

The combined score/turn sheet and the 'How to play' sheet are NOT included in the box but are necessary to play the game.

Happily, they are available to download free of charge by clicking on the links below.
Indeed, you are welcome to download them before you buy so as to know if the game would be suitable for your requirements.

'How to play' sheet  (2 x A4 sides)

    Score/turn sheet  (1 x A4 side)

At a cost less than a meal out for two, it will prove to be excellent value for money as it will be played lots of times by many people sitting around a table chatting and laughing with each other.

Now, where's the pizza delivery number...?
